The addition of John M. Thompson reinforces the firm's capacity to reach the right audience and deliver for our clients, the right people. Mr. Thompson spent his career in the field of Supply Chain Management. He possesses an extensive industry background in the areas of Supply Chain Management, ERP implementation, strategic cost management, performance measurement and business process improvement. He gained his experience through thirteen years in progressively responsible industry positions, including the roles of Vice President of Supply Chain Management for a $1B international entity and Director of Continuous Improvement for an international manufacturing and service organization. His fourteen years of management consulting experience includes client service work for a multitude of clients across industries as a consulting executive with both Ernst & Young, LLP and PAR Solutions, LLC.
Mr. Thompson has conducted numerous projects to improve inventory, service and costs for his clients and employers in both the USA and abroad. His international experience includes work in: the UK, France, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, China, Canada and Mexico. As a practitioner John has directed Supply Chain Management processes across manufacturing industries and environments, in particular the medical device & equipment industry. This includes experience in organizations operating under various regulatory commitments, e.g., FDA, GMP, API.
He received a BA with High Distinction from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College with a concentration in Production & Operations Management. He is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, the Institute of Supply Management and the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He is certified CPIM. He has been quoted in Fortune Magazine, Executive Leadership and the Institute of Supply Management monthly periodical (formerly NAPM Insights).
